Wayne Wirs (rhymes with “ears”) is the photographer and author of the five-star rated book, Fading Toward Enlightenment (Preview), which chronicles his spiritual quest for inner peace using meditation, introspection and photography. On March 5, 2007 during a deep meditation session, Wirs experienced a spontaneous opening of a hole in his ego shell. This hole, which he later termed a "God Well", allowed him direct access to the Universal Life Force (Spirit, God, Christ Consciousness, etc.) Additionally, this Alpha God Well, allowed him to open God Wells on other people.

A former software engineer, Wirs also hosts a website of his own design dedicated to helping find lost children. Recently Missing Children displays the photos and profiles of all children reported missing in the United States over the last two months. Additionally, Wirs has written a simple "web widget" that allows anyone with a web page to display, in real-time, the last 10 children who have gone missing. The children's profiles are updated every hour so the sponsoring web page automatically displays the current status of these lost children.
